update: The celebration was brilliant, Anna and Adam are now officially in post-nuptial bliss. They have gotten 10 place settings so far of the most useful pasta plates and broth bowls. Also, the coffee cups. They still need cake plates and chargers if you want to build on these unique dishes.

The lovely Anna and Adam stopped by the studio recently and expressed their wishes for some hand made in Columbia County davistudio fine porcelain to add to their mum’s fine historic china. Classic white in a number of options. Dinnerware and serveware.

They are publicly sharing their commitment September 27th, but Emily Post says we have a year to gift a pair of newlyweds. NOT to give you an excuse to procrastinate, just sayin’…

The final week is here! I am making Erica and Joe’s wedding dishes.

I am honored to create what will be a permanent part of the new couple’s life together. Gathering at the table, making food, sharing with friends and family, these are the daily rituals that form a solid foundation under us. Daily rituals that help us grow, as individuals and in community.

Erica and Joe want all white dinnerware. Simple. Elegant. Handmade. Food looks fantastic on white. Good choice.

I will wait until after the wedding to complete the dishes. As custom made, artisanal porcelain, they will be fired in the same kiln at the same time.

Rebecca and Henoch are getting married September 6th, 2009. Rebecca has chosen white for her dinner plates and a variety of colors for dessert plates, saucers, bowls and coffee cups. The cups will be polka dotted. She has also asked for some serveware in her colors. I think she has chosen well. I love the kick of the yellow and surprise of pink with orange. Jade suffuses the collection with calm.
